Clutch Slipping!!! ECU Upgrade Issues
#47
The easiest way to test a clutch is at max torque in 3rd gear uphill. If its weak it will slip under the load which is magnified by going uphill. Its a great way to test the clutch without abusing it. You must use 3rd gear because 4-5 or 6th doesn't allow the engine to rev quick enough and 2nd doesn't put enough load on the engine. carl

Clutch replacement -- mine went at 16k
Had to replace mine at about 16,000 miles and I have an embarrassingly puny 415HP. This is not unusual. We also track a lot, but I don’t think that caused the issue. Deal with it. Oh – and they have to pull out the engine to get to the clutch. Make sure the dealer has all the codes for the radio, PCM, etc.

Thanks for all the input
The dealer called, my car is ready. All I have to do is show up and pay the $4625.00. I went with the OEM clutch/flywheel.
Wish me luck for the next 20K miles.

BTW, the 2 disc system is not the friendliest clutch on the world to drive on the street!

The above pic of my clutch is not a two disc system. Here is a closer look. I guess the clutch is now really street unfriendly. This clutch was not required so much for the power alone as the power/gearing (all six gears) combination along with the redline being attained.

You are going to have one hell of a strong left leg from driving that thing on the street.
Best of luck on your car.. I have been dying to see the final results.. Can't wait till she is ready.
I'm rooting for you.
I wish I was in your neck of the woods.. Would love to go for a ride in Killer Angle.
