seat removal?

I lost a tiny object underneath my seat. Could someone tell me how to remove the drivers seat? Is it a difficult undertaking to do yourself? TIA!

If I recall correctly, 4 bolts... and a kajillion wires.
But you can remove the bolts and tilt the seat back to see / feel around under.
I suggest you do NOT disconect the wires as error codes can result.
Enjoy!

How far can you tilt the seat back w/o disconnecting any wires?
Should I take it to a dealer?

There are 4 inverted torx fasteners in all 4 corners of the seat
There are plastic covers over the 2 front two easily removavable by lifting the tab up with a small screwdriver and pulling forward

you should not have to remove the seat from the car just tip it if you are looking for a lost object
If you do remove the wiring harness under the seat and remove the seat from the car remove the key from the ignition and do not turn it on for any reason even for a split second ot you will trip the airbag failure light
