you dont need it, what it does is remove the power assist from the power steering pump and make the lutch feel like most hydralic non assisted clutches youve driven.

it also removes the clutch accumulator from the system a know problem that plagues our cars the slave and accumulator go bad alot.

some like the stock system some hate it cause you cant feel the engagement.
