Best Clutch for about 600-650whp
I think I felt my clutch slip once over the weekend and just want to plan on replacing when it gives up on me.
I have the evo610 kit on my 03 996tt and dont really see myself going above 650whp.
I would like to have stock feel and not worry about the cluth wearing out fast with aggressive driving.
I also do not want to break the bank and was hoping for a $1000-1500 investment on the hardware itself.
I was also thinking about replacing the flywheel as well with a lwfw. What will that help with as far as performance goes?
- is the flywheel worth replacing? Thanks!
*Side Note*
I get about 20% off at Porsche Dealership so if I can replace with Porsche parts and if they will work I would go that direction. (ie gt2 disk or pressure plate)
Thanks for the help

a stage 3 clutch is what your looking for upgraded pressure plate with modified fulcrom for more clamp force, kevlar or Fibertuff disk. and the lightweight flywheel comes in about 2500$ on average.

Paulie Walnuts has the best clutch for that power level but I can not remember which one he has?? It feels totally stock but grabs like a tuner reaching for your wallet LOL

Paulie is busy...making a joke...we'll know later about his clutch.

Be sure to get as much clutch as you think you will ever need. You dont want to do that labor more than once. You are at roughly 500whp with the EVOMS GT610, right? You would have to go to a race GT700 or a GT750 to need more than a Stage 3. Stage 4 EVOMS will easily hold the 600-650whp you mention. Much more than that and it gets really expensive!
If you can tolerate the noise and driving difficulty, a LWFW will enhance acceleration and responsiveness.

Most (but not all I understand)LWFW setups on these cars have chatter noise at idle. They also require some getting used to for street driving since engagement is more rapid. Each driver needs to decide for himself if the benefits outweigh the liabilities.

I wrote up my impressions of my clutch setup - still like it today.

Clutchmaster Stage 3 is what I run (1 side 1 thing the other side the other thing type of deal), and even though I like the clutch and it holds fantastic, also rev matchs awesome..... It feels nothing at all like stock, and the engagement point is straight up unpredictable.

I am leaning toward a Clutchmasters Stage 3 with a ClutchmasteRs LWFW all from Vivid
And they were a HUGE help on the phone.
Now my question is:
Do I need to also a GT2 Master Slave Conversion?
Why or why not and what are the pros and cons of it?
Thanks!
