BorgWarner EFR Turbos

i dont take credit for finding this, aben8057 on rennlist posted it.

but i thought id see if anyone has some thoughts or experience with these here

can you provide a link to a build up of something using these in the gas sports car realm? i know BW is big in the diesel industry

hmm kevin kwiatkowski runs a 1991 plymouth laser at 8.2@165
mike reichen in his evo running 237mph at the standing mile off the shelf Borg Warner S400 74mm

those are both diesel turbos off Cummins engines or upgrades for cummins engines.

i was hoping to see someone running their smaller units compared to the Gt series of garret turbos

pricing and info was just released at SEMA, only one car i know of has run one in the testing process and that is the siera siera time attack Evo
i don't think any real world results will be available for some time

awesome thats the info i was looking for, how is pricing slated out jake you can be generous if you want are they similar to full garret turbos or more expensive?

its in pieces hopefully be back together for the march mile, or tk211
wont be setting any records but i hope to just be driving it. since we'll be coming up on 1.5 years since ive driven it.

They look very promising, but likely very expensive. Even then I have a feeling the ball bearing Tial turbos are better still... with our custom wheels on them.
