July 2001 was the last month for 2001 MY cars - so this was the youngest 2001 you can get.

Also keep in mind that the 2001 MY started in early 2000. So a 2001 could be four or five years old.

Check the door jam for the production date.

I don't know what some of you guys are smoking but if any of you actually pay attention to the market, you'll see that it's very rare to see an '01 sell for more than $75K-$78K. Even the local dealers are saying that 2001s are selling for low-mid 70's.

I'm not trying to "artificially lower the market"; since I'm no longer an owner I have no interest in doing so. I feel bad to speak to you guys like this, but I have to give you some "tough love". The market on the 996TT sucks and will only get worse as the arrival of the 997TT approaches.

If anyone knows this dealer in CA they should check out if that was a mistake or not.
I am getting these numbers by searching on the porsche.com website on the preowned section search
I was just in Palm Springs last week. Spoke with a guy asking about used pcars. They didn't have any turbos for sale. The NA 996's weren't inexpensive but if that price is right, I'd seriously reconsider a tip.
