Diverter valve spring rates

Hi

I am running K16/K26 turbos,miltek exhaust,silicone hose kit,5 bar fpr,and remap..

My question is that i have Forge diverter valves fitted with standard green springs.
When mapped they could not get more than 1.1 bar of boost pressure, so i am looking at putting the yellow stronger springs in the diverter valves.

Do you think this will make me get to the boost say 1.3 bar?????

Many thanks

Also a waste gate adjustment will be needed.

have you done a boost leak test to ensure the DV's are your reason for this?

Yes no boost leaks at all, wastegate actuators are set at 1 bar.

Shouldn't the DV's stay closed while under boost, regardless of the amount of it??

i have been told by Tod k that these cars like soft springs in the dv's .

how ever if they are to soft they will open while full throttle.

All you should need would be the Actuators tightened. Try a few turns at a time up to 4-5 from the beginning of tension. You should try for 1.2 to 1.3. Is your tune ok for that high boost though? The ecu may pull timing or the throttle body will want to shut if not.
