Any experiences with the I-Wire ipod adapter on pre-MOST PCM 1 Nav?
I got the I-Wire CD 220 ipod adapter yesterday and when I installed the plug the radio was giving me a no CD message and not playing music nor charging. I am not sure if it is a compatibility issue with my 30gb ipod video or if my head unit is jacked up. Their is another member here that is succesfully running it on his car with the same PCM1 unit, so I can't imagine it to be a compatibility issue with the PCM1. Any help would be appreciated.

Kinda. I am not 100% happy with it as of yet, but I will tinker w/ it more as I have time. The first issue I have and can't figure out a solution to is the CD changer. With the I-Wire installed the PCM1 will not play Ipod audio unless I have only the RCA jacks on the changer unplugged and CDs in the changer. If I don't have CDs in the changer the PCM immediately displays "No CD" and doesn't play audio. If I don't have the CD changer installed and the black round control plug plugged in the PCM will not even try to play anything. The other issue I had was with the Ipod not charging. The pickoff for power on the most adapter was not in correct pin to charge the Ipod on my PCM1 nav unit. Using a multimeter I rang out the cable and found that the power for charging the Ipod was in the wrong pin on the blue radio plug. I cut the wire and spliced it to a power pin on the radio and now the Ipod charges, but I need to find another power source because this one is the hot battery buss not the switched power.
