EPL Flash
Hello All:
I am in the process of flashing my car with EPL Flash. Just a quick question, since I have the Airbag Light on due to the fact that I remove the passenger seat. I was wondering if I perform the Flash on my car, will it also delete the Airbag Light?
Thanks in advance!

You would have to talk to Tony @ EPL in regards to that. I can't remember if you reset with the Durametric if it will come back on if the seat is removed. I know when my passenger seat was removed I had the light, but I never bothered screwing with it.
I'd shoot him or Robin an email if they don't see the thread tonight.

The SRS (Air Bag System) is controlled by a separate control module. I do not believe that it will be able to ignore the missing passenger seat upon cycle - period. You might have to make friends with the light, because it will not go away...

That is a seperate control module... unfortunately when the fault codes are cleared with our software after the flash, it doesn't touch that module.
If the passenger seat is re-installed, you should be able to clear the light with a Durametric or similar tool.

The trick to keeping the light from coming on at all, is to not cycle the key with the seat power cords unhooked. You can remove it, just make sure to plug it back in before you turn on the key.

Do you intend to keep the passenger seat out or was this a one time deal?
If you intend to keep it out you can measure the resistance of the circuit in the seat and plug in a resistor of similar resistance into the harness to keep the airbag light from coming on.
