no where remote or exotic but it's very easy to commute long distances on the bike. most of my trips have been weekend trips to austin. if you decide to pick one up look for a gs1150 adventure. looooooove the factory white and blue color scheme. the 1200's are faster but 1150's are way way cooler looking and don't have all that gaudy plastic.

That 2007 GSXR 1000 probably made about 154 RWHP...

One of my previous Bikes was a 2006 Kawasaki ZX-10R which I had quite a few mods on and it produced about 168 RWHP and it was a BEAST!! In thrid gear, when it hit 9000 rpm (at about 125 mph) it would just launch the front wheel skyward and wheelie like a demon, even with 230 lbs of me plus gear plastered to the tank..

This Bike, even stock makes the ZX-10R seem wimpy.. At essentially 200 RWHP with these latest mods, it's pucker inducing.. I let one of my long time riding buddies ride it and warned him under no circumstances to give it full gas until he was in second gear on a looooooong straight. I was behind him on his 2005 GSXR and watched him bugger off into the distance at a hell of a rate of knots. We are within 5 lbs of each other in terms of weight.

When he got off my Bike, he was ashen gray and shaking.. It's just another World from what most people have ever experienced before. Every time I get a chance to get on full throttle from 2nd gear all the way through 6th I end up screaming like a banshee in joy.

The way this thing delivers speed is astonishing.. From 60 mph in second gear, all I need is about 1/4 mile to hit top speed..

If someone local to me has a VBOX, I would be really interested to get some times for 60-130 etc. I would have my Wife do the runs (she's 125 lbs) to maximize the Bike's results.

Wow you gave me such a strong feeling of missing riding!!! They close the MX track here and there is no where I can ride...
Your bike sounds amazing I might actually just go to a dealer to take a look at the new BMW motorcycles, looks very impressive to say the least.
Does your motorcycle have ABS and traction control? Must be weird traction control on a motorcycle.

Your wife? That's awesome!!

Go to your local BMW Motorcycle dealer and test ride one... You will get off the Bike one of two ways: Either grinning from ear to ear, or shaking like a leaf and ready to puke...

awesome bike, Dan knows his stuff. I have a '04 RC51 with a bunch of his parts including the PC with his tune, runs flawless. Always wanted an RC51, but it is so down on power compared to anything semi new, no matter still an awesome bike especially with ti race high pipes.
