Texas Mile 2011
I know its still 3 months down the road, I am just going over the site and such and trying to figure everything out. Having been at the miami mile earlier this year, i am curious to see how the texas mile compares. Also curious who is definitely going, and who is still thinking about it?

Texas is like Miami in that you run as hard as you can in a mile....
Miami, IIRC, has a longer shutdown, is wider, less wind, and depending on the time you go there, has better air than goliad.
When we went to Miami it was about 100*F with 100% humidity, it was the first time they did the mile down there and used radar guns, but it seems that they have much better equipment now.

adding to Neil,s post....
When you get your time slip from the Texas Mile there is no disputing the speed.....it's accurate. The Miami events don't have that "guarantee" yet.

That is correct! The Mile is the following weekend, and you are welcome to stay in the spare bedroom at my house. I should have a bed up there by then LOL!
