Code 9124, Help Please

Happy Holidays everyone, got a quick one for you.

I have been seeing this code intermittently for quite some time now, have searched but did not find anything on it and am hoping that maybe someone has seen and resolved it themselves. The code info is below, pulled using my Durametric.

Instrument Cluster
9124
Sun Sensor
Short to Ground

Thanks for your time and any assistance you might be able to lend.

Do a search on renntech. I remember Fdorn (Frank) had the same problem....If you search 9124 on the 996 tt forum on Renntech you will found little info.... Or may be contact Fdorn. He's a nice guy!

Courtesy of fdorn, problem solved. Info below:

"Porsche Technical Information 3/00 9025. It is possible to have a fault stored in the instrument cluster indicating a sun sensor-open circut short to ground, even though no fault is present. This fault occurs when the tester (PWIS or Durametric) is scanning the cluster during the control unit search. This fault must be ignored unless it is also stored in the fault memory of the A/C system."

Thanks everyone.
