Now, let's subtract all the cars that you didn't buy with your own hard earned money.
my list would stay the same, as well suffered all the losses

::dead period::
97' Jetta GLX Vr6 (X) *
00' B5 S4 (first car i started to mod) (X) *

then it got fun
02' M3 Cabrio w/ SMG (x)
02' Speed Yellow TT (X) *
03' Range Rover (Current)
04' RS6 (Current)
06' RS4 (On-Order)

* bought by my Faahja
In response to all of you trust-fund baby haters, all I can say is that I have certainly gotten a lot of satisfaction knowing I didn't pay for some of my cars and that satisfaction came from the fact that my father made me work hard for my cars. Whether it was working summer's or working my *** off in college. My father wanted to make sure I dont leech of his funds, so he made me earn everything the boys in my classes were getting as a given.

My dad set goals for me, and my job was to work my *** off to make sure I met them. I didn't get a graduation present from high school, but instead given my dad's word, that if I finished my MBA in time for his 55th birthday while maintaining good grades, I would get the car of my choice and an apartment in the city of my choice.

Needless to says, on the day of my graduation I was handed the keys to a brand new Speed Yellow 996 TT and a new apartment shortly there-after. Never been more satisfied with getting a 'gift' in my life.

And thanks to that dream of getting a freebie car, i've been able to buy all my cars from that point forward, with some more hard work and some good investements.

TTRon

It is a satisfing feeling to have all your hard work pay off and be able to buy the car you want.

TTRon, not to belabor the point but working your *** off is relative. By having housing and transport taken care off when you first start working is a significant advantage. I'm glad that you have what you have and do hope you get to enjoy them frequently. I would only caution you that a statement like "certainly gotten a lot of satisfaction knowing I didn't pay for some of my cars ...." may come across differently than what I think you are trying to convey.

That said, I paid for all my cars including the $2000 Maxima.

Ok here goes the list. It is not as long as most of them because I develop crazy attachments to cars. I am trying to change that..
unfortunetaly I did pay all the sales tax on these cars

Age :33.. mentality 21

1979 Cadillac Coupe Deville White with Deep Red leather like interior and True Spokes ( what did you expect I grew up on Staten Island. The car was a huge hit under the L on 86th street in Brooklyn & yes I wore Z.Cavaricci's)
1985 Cutlass Supreme 4 Door Beater -this car was every color in the spectrum at the same time , tone blue with 3 shades of bondo patches on it. (fun Car)
1987 Buick T-type Grand National 750HP -White Over grey interior.. The CDC has identified this as Patient zero in the modding sickness that infects me to this day. Kept that car for 12 Years and spent an obscene amount of money trying to keep up with Kenny Dutweiller
1990 Mazda Miata full Greddy Mods
1993 Isusu Amigo.. alot of fun in the summer ..but was 10 degrees colder in the cabin in the winter than actual temp outside
1996 Chevy Tahoe LT.. started my truck modding Phase
2000 Boxster S .. Fully modded by Cargraphic (great Car)
2001 GMC Yukon Denali (loved this truck just sold)
2001 Cargraphic 996 TT.. 650HP. keep saying I am selling but its still here
2004 BMW M3 Cab sold after dealership wrecked it and didnt tell me
2004 MB SL55 Yuck!! Big fat heavy car and nothing but problems

soon to be purchasing: VW Touareg V8 or Land Rover LR3 or 2004 Cayenne Turbo

Ordered a Gallardo for spec and luckily pulled out would of lost my pants on that one

997 Turbo coming up and maybe Ferrari F430 or M6 Cabriolet

WHAT I FIND MORE INTERESTING THAN THE SOURCE OF FUNDS OR THE AGE OF OWNERS IS THE MIND BOGGLING LOSSES THAT WE INCURRED FROM THE SALE OF THE CARS. IT MUST RUN WELL INTO THE MILLIONS

AGE 49

-CORVAIRS --YIKES!!! LOTS OF THEM, 1963-66, FROM TURBOCHARGED TO 6 SINGLE BARREL CARBED, CONVERTIBLES. GREAT WAY TO LEARN HOW TO TEAR AN ENGINE DOWN.

-BMW 733I. 84
-BMW 530I, 86
-INFINTI Q45I, 90
-BMW 540I
