better to put the money away for later.
My Grandfather used to tell me the same thing. But try telling that to most young guys that age. It goes in one ear and out the exhaust of the new ride! !

Yes I got 2 financial planners
I had the biggist online Casino website for HongKong.

it was quick $ for few years. i know it won't last~
so I did save a lot more than I spent

thx for the advise though.

I bought a car for my dad , he never had a BMW in his life before.. he is happy with it

the salad days rarely last forever.

I find it interesting that it appears that the minority of folks owned 996s before they got their 996 TTs. I would have expected more "graduating".

Marc996Miami:

The waiting for 25 years for my first P car did not come easy. My first love was a 944 with BBS wheels, then the 944 Turbo. Came close to pulling the trigger but waited. I have followed the advice of my father (and some else's grandfather) and not blown my money on cars. You can only hold out so long before you have to enjoy life!!! For me that is a Porsche.

Enjoy the M3. It is a fantastic car!!! Your next move up will obviously be a Porsche!!

Hey Kiddos,

There's nothing to be ashamed of to be fortunate enough to have daddy buy u these toys. Really. Any one of us would love to be in your shoes when we were 20 or younger. It's way cool.

However, however, when working adults (like your parents) list their car history here, they are doing it with a sense of pride. It's a reflection of how far they've come since the struggling or student days.

Funny thing is I don't know why did KPV posted his age in the first place. What does it have to do with car history? He must have tried to make a statement by doing that. It shows his accomplishment, not his parents, and how he got here. It's more than showing his taste in cars. Afterall, when you're struggling, your taste have to take a back seat, way back. You can almost read into his and others' life, not just their parents', by their car history.

So for some 20 yr old, or even 30, to come along and post a list of 100k cars that's longer than their driving years, it's almost a mockery to some of the "working class" members here. I wouldn't want my kids someday to compare their car history to some 40 yr old for example. We're not talking about baseball cards here.

There is nothing more satisfying than to buy your own house someday and stock it with your dream cars, all with money, lots of it, YOU earned from "strangers". Strangers usually don't give you $200k or more a year to spend easily unless you're really worth it.

So bottomline is do give respect to working adults who actually did purchase all those cars with their own money, just as you would with your parents. They EARNED it. You BENEFITTED.

Maybe some day you'll leave the nest and learn how challenging, and rewarding, it is to make it on your own!

In the meantime, do count your blessings and smile with every mile
Im confused here were people being disrespectfull? Or are you just saying it's insulting to post the age you are with your list?

My list

Im 18:

-2003 A4 3.0 (first car still miss it )
-2004 S4 (my daily which I look forward to driving the next time everytime I get out of it)
-2003 996 Turbo (my child of sorts, the other day somebody insulted it and I about broke them...you get the idea)

Disclaimer: All of these cars were purchased by the blood sweat and tears of my grandpa and father. I take no credit for the purchase of any of these cars!
