Amen! Heck... I'm almost ready to take my beater to Calif. and have it painted a different wild color since mine are both silver! Sure they look great.... but there's always better!

Richard I'm about on the same page with you as far as the Fikse wheels go... do you have any pics of your cars with the wheels installed? Nice lil' stable you got there by the way!

Justin,

The one's on the 996 are the 18" Fikse. I'm waiting for the Profil 10's and ordered them through Porsche about 3 weeks ago. I'm also waiting for the carbon air intakes too. I'm basically just not going to know anything until I get the carbon all on and then see what the Fikse Porfil 10 look like with all the Carbon! I already got the 'cap' from bumper plugs for when I take off the rear windshiel wiper too!
I really think that the carbon front spoiler, the 'lip' does so much to the vision of the 996 too. Let's face it.... they're just not as good looking as the 997's! So.... I'm really just trying to give it some more character and kind of balance it out a little more, if you get my meaning. I'm taking it to have the window's tinted too! Then, I'm going to order the sideview mirrors in carbon from Rottech since their carbon is really such high quality that I'm so impressed!
I also found through the internet some Porsche caps that I put on the Fikse wheels that are on there and I'm going to switch them to the Profil 10's when I get them.

The only think I don't like is I get this funky metallic sound from my engine when it's about 2200 rpms in 3rd or even 2nd gear and from what I read on renlist that seems to be almost normal with the 996 Turbo's but I really wish I could figure out what it is and how to harmonize it more. Any idea?

The wheels you have on are not GT2 wheels. Probably from a GT3 as the wheels look sunken into the fenders, I believe even the Turbo S came with spacers for the rear.

The HRE C93 is a great looking wheel for the 996 TT. First 3 pictures on grey 911. Last pic is Silver 911.

Lon Mok you've outdone yourself...the HRE C93 with gunmetal inserts look quite nice I would have a hard time deciding between these and Profil 10s...a very hard time!

How about the tried and true P40S, which is 1.5 lbs average lighter than the original P40. And also newly released P40SC Conical Series. Pics on 997.

Yep,

The monobloc's are the only real HRE's the last picture with the black and white. I've got those on my 997 too! I just couldn't do the same on my 996! So I went for the Porfil 10's ..... We'll see.
