Best looking wheels on a 996 Turbo

Thanks.
PS...also digging my Kline exhaust.

yes, pretty certain they'll clear w/out issue. you can run the wider 315/30 on a stock twists NP. its the 12" and my insanity with the rear end lateral movements and shock/suspension compression of the wheels measured against liner room, what of it there is! there is NO room to spare in my setup. maybe 1/16th of an inch. rub happens.

Edit; just realized they are f14s in silver, very nice. What happened to them, do you still have them?
John (pdrhound) are they the same wheels as Marks?
Both of your cars look amazing guys.

The 315/30s are very short tires. They clear without any issues on 11s or 12s especially if you use the shorter rear GT2 fender liner brackets. Don't waste your money on the GT2 liners if your TT liners are in good shape. The GT2/TT liners are exactly the same part (same part number is molded into them) except for the fact that Porsche drilled a hole in the side of the "GT2" liner so that it could bolt up to the shorter bracket. They place a sticker with a GT2 part number on the liner. If you know how to use a drill, 30 seconds and you have a GT2 liner. You will need the GT2 brackets which are about $80 each.

With that said, OZ is one of the best quality lower cost choices out there. They are very nice wheels and probably the best bang for your buck in an off the shelf brand name TUV approved wheel. It is a cast wheel as opposed to a forged wheel but very strong. Good stuff.

No. Finspeed wheels are forged and made to order to your individual specifications. You tell them widths / offsets and they cut them for you from a forged block of aluminum. Extremely light and dead true. Additionally, you can specify many options like bead knurling which locks the tire onto the rim and keeps them from rotating under high forces. I highly recommend this feature for anyone that tracks these cars with high grip tires like slicks. These are the first wheels that solved this dilemma for me. And of course you have any one of countless numbers of color choices or finishes. Painted, brushed, ceramic coated, whatever. Sky is the limit.

I will most likely go with Marks recommendation, OZ in GT2 sizes.

ha, and i NEED the gt2 liners. you guys'd laugh if you saw how I've managed to chew thru them as is.
i'd follow johns advice also if you want new wheels and the oz wheels can be had for the numbers you mentioned jim. much better wheel than the f14 and i didn't even get into the necessary hub rings! i'll spare you, just get the oz

I've been running Forgestar CF10's on my CTT, for a few years now. They also have the centering rings. I've had no issues at all with the wheels and I towed my boat (about 3800 lbs) and my utility trailer all the time, truck sees 100+ mph occasionally and rides buttery smooth Of course I would prefer to have the matching center bore but again I haven't had any problems. As far as I know they are the best value in custom offset wheels out there and are pretty darn light weight as well. As a side note when I ordered my wheels (to my specific offset) I had them on my door step in the time frame they promised and the fit and finish was excellent. That said, I'm a huge fan of OZ and I have been running them since the 90's. I think they are both good choices

my continuing and even dangerous issues with the f14 f'stars had more to do with the type of lugs that the wheels accommodate and they are not oem style nor are they TUV certified, so depending upon ones driving style and usage for the wheels, it opens up a whole world of potential hurt. was my experience, and I ran em hard til I busted a front. much less so the hubcentric rigs which while they caused me no discernible issues, they are NOT hubcentric and as such do not lay in proper spec ( far as I could tell )_ for 18's.
they like to sell the forgestars in 19's which ARE hubcentric for 96 turbo. whole different ball game. 18's not so.
but I did run f14's rear X OZ hlt's up front for a minute. just to keep it hillbilly

Ok, I see...Perhaps switching to studs might open more (better) choices for fasteners??
I already have my set of wheels for the 996T, they happen to be OZ....BUT I was really close to getting another set of CF10's for the car also. I decided to change it up ever so slightly Still don't have my suspension yet so stock wheels still on her.

i remembering complimenting you on the cf10's on the cayenne and for a long time wanted very much a set for myself, but they only make them in 19, and charley don't roll on 19's lol.
i think there are just better wheels in the price range ( arguably attractive ) of the f'stars, and the OZ meet all the most important criteria i have/had, not the least of which was cost. i can't reconcile 3500/4000$ wheels on the car. not the way i ( usually unintentionally ) bash thru rocks etc.
