I love forgelines on 996s. There's a few nice looks here:

A quick scan of this thread didn't show any other RG5 Monolites... so here are mine.
Thanks to Wheel Enhancement for the wheels and for providing black bolts from a 991 to complement the black centers.

OZ wheels poor quality
Just a heads-up about the OZ Alleggerita wheels, in my personal experience they are not as strong as they claim, or quality control is low. Bought my wheels new, and by month 2 or so, were massively bent in more dimensions than you can imagine, despite no large impacts occurring.
OZ did nothing to help me in any way. I had to buy another wheel outright to complete the set.
Stock GT2 wheels might be heavy, but after 12years on my car and not 'babied' like my NEW OZ's, are still straight and true.
Because of how OZ treated me, I will never buy another wheel from them.
Finspeed is probably my next wheel manufacturer, strong + so tired of tires spinning on wheels like the OZ's...
Regards,
Rob

No. Finspeed wheels are forged and made to order to your individual specifications. You tell them widths / offsets and they cut them for you from a forged block of aluminum. Extremely light and dead true. Additionally, you can specify many options like bead knurling which locks the tire onto the rim and keeps them from rotating under high forces. I highly recommend this feature for anyone that tracks these cars with high grip tires like slicks. These are the first wheels that solved this dilemma for me. And of course you have any one of countless numbers of color choices or finishes. Painted, brushed, ceramic coated, whatever. Sky is the limit.
With that said, OZ is one of the best quality lower cost choices out there. They are very nice wheels and probably the best bang for your buck in an off the shelf brand name TUV approved wheel. It is a cast wheel as opposed to a forged wheel but very strong. Good stuff.

Very true about the stock wheels. I have the hollow spokes, I was run off the road accidentally by another car hitting a driveway at high speed and found myself air born badly gauging both right rims including slashing a brand new tire.
Had the rims repaired and repainted and guess what they a perfectly straight and true. They're tough wheels that's for sure.

Looking good Alex! If I recall, I ordered these for you in a 18x9x12 cut with an aggressive GT2 offset. Combined with the Inconel Kline exhaust I got for you, this car is a keeper! Pull a build certificate on your car. I bet you have one of the very last, if not the very last, 996TT ever build. Your 996 Turbo S is a late 2005 build.
