FYI: the 997 Turbo is equipped as follows:
235/35/19 & 305/30/19
So to answer your question AWD cars supposed to run a slightly taller front is not correct, these vehicles are built in their own geometries respective to their design so take the following bit of information for what it's worth.
997 Turbo & C4S Standard 19x8.5 (et. 57) 19x11.5 (et. 51)
Front: 235/35/19 = 25.5
Rear: 305/30/19 = 26.2

PWDRHOUND already stated it well:
"Very few people have an understanding of how the rather simple 996TT AWD system works. The ONLY way the system can transfer even an ounce of torque to the front wheels is if the rear wheels are rotating faster than the fronts. If it's the other way around then the front wheels are simply providing driveline drag into the gearbox through the viscous coupler..."

i wouldn't take it be worth much! given those are 997 numbers and or 19" inch numbers which are not ( as you know ) "standard" to the car. so it's like gee. that's some info of a dubious value. at least in my estimation.
stick with pwdrhounds advice ( again! as you already "know" ).. "wheel dynamics?" umm, well...
never mind
