Got laid off for New Years
#19
Very sorry to hear that, especially this time of year.
On the bright side, every time I was laid off, or my company went broke underneath me, in the long run it has always worked out for the better.
Good luck,, and I too thought you said you got laid when I first looked at your posting,,,,

That's a bummer - but I too have had great experiences with what originally appeared to be a major setback and turned out to be a blessing in the end. I hope the other side turns out great for you as well.

Thanks guys I am sure I'll find something. I wish it was warmer out but hey what can you do. As far as the type of work well I have been in everything from gym management, to owning cafes (bad partnership ) to commercial flooring business which I was a Warehouse Manager/PM. I'll do pretty much anything the only thing that holds me back from some places is lack of schooling. Some companies won't even look at a resume unless it has a BS or MBA on it but I'll be fine. Over the years I have made a good network of friends in different fields and as we all know it's "who you know" not "what you know" so I should be ok.

Work for yourself , if at all possible. Tremendously challenging , but extremely rewarding. Good luck

Sorry to hear about your bad news, but you'll get something better soon. Depending on your finances you might want to cut back on extra things like cable TV, coffee runs, a home line since you probably have a cell phone. I wish you the best of luck in finding a better job soon.
