If live in Illinois,starting Jan.1 2011.....If you get a speeding ticket for 40mph and over,found guilty,you will get the max. penality of up to 1 yr. in jail AND a $2,500 fine......But if you are only going atleast 30mph over,found guilty,limit to 6 months AND a $500 fine.Thats how it read in todays paper.....HAPPY NEW YR.....Whats the best radar detector........lol......

 

Wow. 40 over, so 110 in a 70 will get you a year and 2500 lighter in the wallet. Slow down, get a good detector or get a really good attorney.

 

rumor has it in cal once brown takes over it will be the death penilty and you can be executed by the officer when you are stoped (i'd run for my life)

That's not as bad as here in BC - 40 kph over (that's 25 MPH to you) and they take your car on the spot.
