Need to replace my MAF.. need reflash?

My car has a FVD flash done to it, my MAF needs replacing... I have 2 different answers to my question... which is.. can I just replace my bad MAF with a new one and be done OR do I need to have the car reflashed after installing the new MAF? Would like to knowcorrect answer, maybe some tuners can chime in..I dont want to do any damage to the car either way.. thanks in advance
