Changing plugs after 3 to 5 k miles is ludicrous. I could see maybe 10 if you are running really big boost and meth. You must own a shop and are revenue generating .

IIRC, most of the "3-5k plug change" owners are running a copper plug. Not platinum or iridium.

...AGREED........If someone wants to run cheap plugs,so be it...to each his own..
