Little update..

My GT2RS intercoolers are sitting in the garage.

I decided to get inlet pipes as well. I got them from Dgreen78.

I'm waiting for EPL to ship the 72lb injectors and water lines kit for the Tials.

I got a pair of Bosch 710N DV's and Bosch FR6LDC plugs.

I will also go back to the stock paper air filter, cause after a bit of reading I don't think that the K&N filter is worth it.

Last items I need are silicon boost hoses. And a shop to do the install LOL!!!!Anyone here just look at me like I'm mad or something when I talk about the "upgrade"...

Thanks Alex! I will shoot pics of course..

I hope so! Even though I suspect my tune will not be very aggressive due to lack of meth and a second pump...
But I'm sure it'll be enough to keep me happy for some time..

Because I wanted to give them a try....we already know their performance is outstanding on smaller setups, I'm curious to see how they perform on a bigger setup.
And, BTW, despite the turbos being A30's, I'm on stock fuel pump, 93 octane fuel, so my numbers are not going to be so high..
I'd need at least another pump and meth to begin using the turbo's potential I think.

I am running alpha 28's and the GT2RS intercoolers...

They are unbelievable good at keeping temps down. I am not smart enough to comment on the flow, but I haven't felt any issues with the 28's. I am very interested to see how they perform on the 3071s (as I plan to go mafless and swap the 28's for 3071s).

Good luck!!!

I think you shoud go with the 3076's because there's not much difference between 3071's and A28's I think..At least the cast 3071's. With billet whells it could be different, I don't know..

I wish there were more tips with alpha turbos to ask questions about the differences in turbos! I don't think there are any 996TT with 3071 or 3076....but I do not plan to do a motor build and want to minimize lag...problem with the 28's is that the power is not insane due to the higher drivetrain loss of the tiptronic. My car feels slow to me unless I am running race gas, which is so annoying to buy and fill up etc... Maybe a 3076 pump tune would fit my goal.

Now that the next gen mitsubishi billet wheels are out (18gtx 20gtx etc..), I wonder if these tial's are worth the $$

(sorry, don't mean to steal your thread)

Don't worry, it's a very interesting discussion, and I'd like to have more info and data on this too.

I know of one A3071 car tuned by EPL that made more than 600WHP with 50/50 meth and injectors (all else stock). It should be KpAudi's car and there is a thread about it, I should have the link somewhere..

Also 2Muchtime should be north of 600 wheel with 3071's if I'm not mistaken..

BTW 18g and similar turnos IMO are still the best bang for the $$ but Tials (A28's) have far better spool and generally "fatter" power curves. Just look at MBailey's 60-130...in 4th gear only..
