Bucky Lasek Tire blowout save at SEBRING/Winterfest
I had a chance to race Sebring in an 07 Porsche 997 Cup car (both being the first time) this past weekend at Winterfest. Going into turn 7 the rear tire blows out at over 130mp. It happened as my crew chief was asking me how things were going. Notice my hands on the radio button about to answer when the tire goes and how the one hand goes to the shifter trying to get it down shifted due to it feeling like a gear box lockup. It could have been a much wilder ($) ride if it wasn't for my quick hands It did blowout the whole right rear of the car though
I'll post up some of the race footage later if you guys are interested. I ended up finishing 2nd in class (R1) and 6th overall out of 32. I was able to post up some solid 2:14's on used tires and a damaged car during my race a couple of days later.(Hoosier's qualified/raced on the day before and also qualified then raced by me) With new tires and some more track time I may have been able to get into the 2:10 range.

Bucky that was hair ball for sure, nice save once again! I hope my hoosiers don't come apart Saturday. Miller just put a open day on calender for the 22nd and it's going to be cold. Put up some race footage for sure!
