severe shaking above 130mph

Help! my 996TT has developed severe shaking when driven over 130mph. I have had the wheels balanced but still the same. The rotors and pads are all good. Any one have any ideas of whats going on and how to fix. My local porsche dealership are of no help as they are unwilling to test drive the car at this speed.

Check wheel bearings,wheel runout(trueness),cv joints(axles),drive shaft,tires(not just balancing,look for unusual wear ,bubbles,etc).

Hi
The rims are original, I have tried changing to a spare set of rims and tyres but this had no effect on the problem

Do you know anyone that can switch the wheels with another set? That may help to rule out tires.

Check your front control arm bushings. Not sure about 996's but this is a common problem with 993's.

Thanks, I have tried switching to differnt wheels and tyres but this had no effect. I'm in the UK so its a bit far to travel to the USA to run on your AWD dyno - but thanks for the offer.
