Dick -

For my purposes, I believe the GT-R is one of the best platforms for big power there is. This is because of the shift speeds, aero, ability to hook, and interior amenities. Of course, the TTG is probably THE best platform available 'right now', when you are talking about HUGE power, but the cars plus mods cost literally twice what a properly built GT-R does.

Should the motors/trannies in the PDK TTs start getting reinforced to the point that they can handle huge power as well, I think they'll be an equally great option. But I think modded GT-Rs will continue making strides to the point where it will very difficult for any other street cars out there to keep up.

Scott,
Just curious since you already had a GTR...Why not keep & build it?

The GT-R I'm getting already has a significant amount of Switzer mods installed that lend themselves very well to the mack-daddy R1K build. Plus, it's white, which is the color I really wanted from the beginning.

I sold my silver GT-R to my best friend.

Thanks, Justin.

I'm not done with P-cars, though. I plan on picking up another 6-MT TT or maybe a GT3 this time next year to compliment the GT-R.

Thanks for posting your criteria and experience - looking forward to seeing the build!

Very tempting. I was offered an '08 with less than 4k miles the other day for $120k. It was extremely difficult to pass up!

Nice choice. GTR is a really rewarding platform especially considering $$ it takes to make it go fast.

Looking forward to documenting your build Scott...

Considering your local 100 octane unleaded fuel, those numbers should be a bit better than what we achieved with 93 on our last R1K that left the shop:

Scott - Best of luck on the build.

This thing will be the mackDADDY of dig cars.

Personally, I am not going to even attempt to launch the TTG hard enough to try and run this beast from a dig.

PS - Tell Peter I will be extremely hungry Thursday night.

Thanks, Neil. Call me an optimist, but I think Tym will better those numbers on 93, let alone 100.

Can't wait to find out!
