Panamera

moderators, please make a forum for this model because until then the "996Turbo/GT2" (or any Pcar forum) seems more appropriate than the "off topic" one.

that said, did anyone catch the autoweek article on the panamera "that will pitch it into direct competition with...Mercedes Benz CLS"? the following page is about VW and referrences "a super-secret four-door model that follows the pattern set by the Mercedes Benz's CLS".

Garey Cooper is infamous around these parts
Saw it and thought it was interesting. Also that Porsche and VW are possibly doing joint work on the chassis, VW apparently had approached someone else recently to help develop a rear wheel drive chassis slotted between the Jetta and Phaeton. They were turned down and the rumor is that Porsche has then stepped into this void.

It's a good way to spread development and tooling costs. I think the Cayenne chassis is built on the same line that the Tuareg is built on...somewhere in the former eastern bloc; like Hungary?
