why are they $600? I mean it's a flange, o2 bungs and a pipe. Weren't they at one point 400 dollars?

i got kinda excited when i saw this, since you guys are local and i was gonna shoot up and grab set. 600 is ridiculous for for two 1 foot pipes with 2 bongs. FVD has a set for 400 and I havent gotten it because frankly I think even that is too much for something like this.

 

I think many would agree. A quick search on Amazon reveals that a retail customer could source 2 feet of 3" 304SS tubing and O2 bungs for about fifty dollars, shipped. So, that plus a flange covers the raw material cost - I'm sure wholesale costs would be lower. IMHO, $550+ sounds high for a flange, bend, welding of the bungs, and some profit margin to the seller/fabricator.

That said, Econ 101 dictates that a product's price will stabilize at what the market will bear...

At the price the welds really need to be cleaned up. It is obviously a MIG weld. There are dingle berries splattered all over the flange. They could have at least cleaned them up. MIG especially used with a wrong welding procedure splatters and sticks. I would be concerned with lack if penetration and the resulting cracking. TIG really should have been used.

Im in for a set

I've been wanting to grab a set for a while, just to play around and see what they sound like etc. 400 and moreover 600 is a bit more then i wanna spend just to see what they would sound like - lol.
