At least I can hide the MPG readout with a boost readout. I wish I could replace the fuel guage with a boost guage there too, and just have a warning light come on when I've got 20 miles before empty .
excellent point Mike, I totally agree...I ussually drive my 2500HD Cummins Turbo Diesel Dodge so I'm used to going 500 or miles on a tank, a fill up will last me 2 weeks, but it can be close to $100 to fill her up with Diesel...with a smarty downloader, triple disc conv/VB, MBRP 4" exhaust ...and a few other performance mods...etc...I am seeing 20+ avg mpg on the truck, and that's a 3/4 ton pick up lol!

Then I get into the porsche and the needle just drops with spirited bursts of driving mixed into peroiods of hwy usage and some around town driving on my commute, with a tank so small of like 12 gal I guess that's what happens ...

I drove out to farm country today for some nice long, straight, empty roads with some great banks/turns around fields too. Drank almost an entire tank. My average mpg for the day's romp per the computer: 8.1MPG (this was for the ~1/2 tank that was consumed with 100% pedal to the metal driving). Lets just say there was a lot of time in triple digits, but wow did she suck down the gas

all that distance and you didn't fall to the temptation of high speed bursts? wow that's some self control ... out thru Texas, AZ, NM with the flat staight endless roads that would be enough for me to burry the skinny pedal!

I went from being stock and getting 16.8 around town, after a epl stage 2 flash and same driving style as when it was stock, now it's 14.3!
Does this seem right, I rarely see .4 bar as traffic hear is brutal. But I did notice a raw like fuel smell at startup that I never noticed while stock after the two years I have owned it.
Am I alone? Went through a couple of tanks while disaplening myself to drive like miss daisy to see if it got better, it didn't.

I'm getting about 12 in the city, which is where I do most of my driving. I can get up to 27 on the freeway (65 - 70 mph, in 6th gear). Car is bone stock, no mods.

I'm getting 17-18 combined with flash, exhaust and K24's

I did an experiment last year and for one tankful of gas, I only shifted from 1st to 4 or 6th and always kept the revs below 2500- ended up getting 30mpg city but drove awful slow!
