As high as 31 mpg at 70 mph on the Freeway, to as low as 5 mpg at Laguna Seca.. With race gas at $10.00 per gallon, it adds up fast on a two day track weekend.

I did an experiment last year and for one tankful of gas, I only shifted from 1st to 4 or 6th and always kept the revs below 2500- ended up getting 30mpg city but drove awful slow!
Reminds me of the Top Gear episode where they showed a BMW M3 had better gas mileage than a Prius. The M3 stayed behind the Prius, and the Prius drove as fast as it could (which wasn't that fast) around the track. Just goes to show it's how you drive the car.

When I bought the Car, I picked it up in Oregon and drove it back to the SF Bay Area.. One the leg past Mt. Shasta, I kept it in 6th Gear the whole way and at 70 mph.. Got 31 mpg out of that tank... Pretty flat and I didn't have to slow down for any traffic as the Freeway was deserted.

That is impressive gas mileage wise, but I'm not sure you should be proud of how you got to know your 911! Pedal to the floor, buddy! Plenty of disels get 31mpg, you should aim for 12 .
