996 GT2 Wing question

996 GT2 Wing question
Im thinking of buying the following item
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Porsche-996-GT2-Style-Rear-Wing-Bootlid-Brake-Light-/250783389010?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM& hash=item3a63dad552
Seems like a great deal for the money since it had brake light kit also.
Have anyone bought this ?
And i have another question.
When you install a GT2 wing, dont you get some kind of error code or wing faulty red light?
And how do you solve the fitting of the fan and all that ?
See pictures of a original wing here
http://cgi.ebay.de/Porsche-996-GT2-M...item3f02bdae92
Thanks alot

Their homepage:
http://www.aerowerke.com (their old homepage http://www.newwayhk.com )
I also heard that these guys should make good replicas as well, even carbon fiber
With free shipping on porsche parts now.
http://www.esta-international.com/po...h-Engine-Cover
Anyone tryed ?
Might give the "GT2 wing with CF blade" a try, $2100 shipped world wide seems nice

When you install the GT2 wing on a TT on the US version vehicles you will get the error code for the hydraulics. If you do a search there are some very smart members here that have found ways around it.
If you want a price on our products PM me. I will have to tell you that international shipping is not cheap. For a lot of our international customers we have found the most cost effective method is for us to ship it to their closest international airport and the customer would pick it up from there. This saves the customer about 30-50% on shipping cost.

A tuner in Sweden that I won't mention the name of wants to punch the Esta people in the face, due to lousy fitment and worthless quality the parts they bought to try out.
Best GT2 wing replica on market is Misha911 in LA (use google), since it has the GT2-style hinges which means you can adjust the wing angle for track driving etc. Also the fan fits and brakelight can easily be moved over from your 996TT lid. Misha gives discount for 6speed members and I am sure he can get it shipped to you for a decent rate as well. There are other good looking wings as well from other places like Precisoin Porsche and Mashaw if you don't want adjustable wing blade angle.
There is A LOT of info on GT2 decklid installations on this forum, just do a search for GT2 wing, GT2 decklid, GT2 harness etc. The Misha wing is bolt on. There is a custom harness for the fixed wing (when the hydraulics are removed) that you can buy from Porsche (also via Misha I believe) but you can also use the old 996TT harness and just tape up the microswitches and you will have no warning lights. Do a search in the forum and you'll find details and photos.
Good luck and let us see the finished result!

And by the way, you might also end up wanting to change the front bumper to a GT2 bumper as well - for this the Precision Porsche bumper is so true to form that you can't optically tell it's a replica until you knock on it (fiberglass instead of OEM plastic/urethane). In my personal opinion the best replica bumper out there.

I hade aerowerke GT3 Cup decklid and wing in my previous 996. Was not very great fit... These cheap parts need some fixing and repairing usually and if you want oem quality fit you need to take parts to quality body shop that can fix them.

Talked to misha911 , he seems to be able to give me a good deal
And now i noticed that the break light hole on the one from Aerowerke and Esta is no where near looking original, so im probebly going with someone trusted seller on the board.
Just waiting on shipping cost
