I made around 500awhp with K24/18g turbos, 5bar FPR, exhaust, tune, and greddy EBC. Was right around 1.1 bar. Injectors are my next thing to get even more on 93oct, but can be done without them.

Yes, k16/16g is good too but I would go with k24/18g because you have an 6speed.

Do yourself a favor before you make any mistakes, call Kevin at UMW (Ultimate Motor Werks). Kevin is a Porsche guru and he will help you from buying the wrong parts and making mistakes.

Good luck !

If you actually use the power, you should cost in a better clutch too....

I TOTALLY agree with your CLUTCH comment, as if you add horsepower, you will need to upgrade your factory clutch.

I HIGHLY recommend a light weight flywheel set GT3 set up that I bought from Kevin @ UMW.

While K24's will give you more top end, I recommend Zero Tolerance K16 hybrids from Kevin @ UMW, as they will spool faster and make your TT a rocket !

Agree, stock clutch will barely hold flash+exhaust ~(450whp). If you make a turbo upgrade to 500 whp you will need a better clutch. For your application I would recommend the billet K16s. They will easily go past 500 whp. With injectors and race gas you can get 600 whp.

Are you going to the TX Mile event at the end of the month ?

Will you be running your TT ?

Your car sounds VERY fast. Did the larger Throttle Body and larger Plenum make a big difference ?

Jim,
I going to make an assumption that you are asking me...LOL

Yes, I will be in Goliad at the end of the month and I will be running my TT. The plenum/TB did help significantly in two parts of the rpm band. They give a slightly faster spool (at lower rpm) and help torque. They also give more power at the very top of the rpm band and help prevent that power drop off that you see with so many turbos.

Are you bringing a car to the mile?

Mike

Mike,

Thanks for your email.

Glad to hear you will be in Goliad at the end of the month and will be running your TT.

What day and time are you running ?

I have never been to the event.

I'm not running my car this time, as I am still not finished with my car. I've been thinking of adding UMW Zero Tolerance K16 hybrid turbos. Any advice ?

JIM

Jim
I will probably run Fri or Sat depending on conditions. I always run as early in the day as possible.

I dont know alot about UMW turbos so I cant comment on them one way or another. As you know turbo choice is heavily dependant on how you plan to use the car and what your priorities, goals, and cost expectations are... Ie is the car primarily a street car, track car, straight line pulls, dd, garage queen ect...
