we are all merely guessing, i'd do a compression and leakdown test and try to get some info for yourself.

Sounds like you are getting unmetered Air past the MAF ie: vac leak. IMHO

**Edit after reading the last pages, yes I'm a dummy.

and it was unmetered air. lucky it didin't get lean and hurt the motor. get someoen to read the plugs and install a new set just in case.
