So it doesn't rain that much here, but I actually enjoy taking the car out when it's raining. The car seems well planted and safe in the rain. My only concern is the other drivers. But there's something about the rain and the look of the wet car that I like.

I went on a 200 Mi trip last week in the rain for most of it - this was the first long trip in the TT since I bought it a year ago. It was the most relaxing trip I have ever taken in a car. People with "normal" cars just have no idea what driving can be like - total control, agility and response - priceless!

I took delivery of my car in a terential downpour and drove it 200 miles. I got over the only drive in "perfect" weather pretty quickly. I drive my car almost every day and in all types of weather; ice and snow included. That is what I find so brilliant about the car; It's a supercar that is meant to be driven. The "everyday supercar"; ridiculous and I love it!

I like driving my TT in the rain; it feels so safe. However, I don't like the cleaning part after.

Last fall I had a track day at Sears Point in the rain. I left the house at 6am to get to the Drivers Meeting on time and was concerned as it was pouring. There was so much standing water I thought I'd have issues, but this car handled wonderfully. On track it was still very planted- until pushed too hard... but great place to learn the limits of your car and traction/braking.

Running Laguna Seca on Friday and expect the same. Love this car!

I like driving it in the rain too. I get a kick every time when the windshield wipers come on by themselves automatically and adjust speed according to how much its raining. Really a cool system, since I find myself constantly adjusting wiper speeds in my other car when its raining, but the Porsche does it for me so I can concentrate on just driving .

That said, I don't push the car to its limits, other than straight line acceleration maybe, in the rain since I really have no idea when the tires will just "let go" and hydroplane. Since this car is capable of such speeds, you will really be in trouble if that happens most likely, so I keep the high speed corners to a minimum in the rain.

I actually like driving the thing in the snow a lot too, especially when people think its RWD and its going to be aweful and get stuck, and then it just works so well in the snow!

The funny thing is that I hear most of you that have the turbo's with all wheel drive praising the how "safe" you feel,,, and not to blast that, but when I had my early turbo being just two wheel drive the feeling is completely planted.

Even more so, I don't know how to describe the feeling to those that have never driven a 911 over normal FWD or RWD cars. There is just something about having the weight over the back that makes these cars incredibly in control over whatever is out there.

God,, I think I am a snob above snobs for the P-Car.

Enjoying all of the thoughts on this. To me, snow is a completely different beast. I've driven a lot in snow up in the mountains (not in the Porsche), and I can see that it might also be fun. But there's something about the rain that I really like -- you can still drive reasonably fast, the sounds of the rain hitting the car, the sounds and spray of the water off the roads, the slick look of a wet Porsche.....
