Carrera GT vs Enzo, SLR, Murcie, Conti GT and DB9
A magazine called MPH did full tests on these cars, the results are in the March 2005 issue as follows:
0 to 62 mph
Aston 5.0
Bentley 5.2
Lambo 3.7
Porsche 3.8
Mercedes 3.8
Ferrari 3.6
0 to 124 mph
Aston 16.7
Bentley 17.2
Lambo 12.5
Porsche 10.7
Mercedes 10.7
Ferrari 10.3
0 to 186 mph Top Speed
Aston 74.6 192 mph
Bentley 67.2 201 mph
Lambo 37.6 205 mph
Porsche 34.2 208 mph
Mercedes 30.6 208 mph
Ferrari 26.1 221 mph
These tests were performed on a 7.8 mile banked oval called Nardo in Italy. Now they also tested these cars on a road course called Autodromo del Levante. And they mentioned that the Carrera GT was fastest at this road course by more than a second than any of the other cars.
Seeing as how the Enzo is definately faster in the straights it just proves what an awesome track car the Carrera GT really is!

Hmm... The CGT gets 0-124 mph (or 200kph) in 10.7? Doesn't Porsche literature quote that time at 9.9? Something seems a little off.
Straight line power-wise, I would have expected Enzo, CGT, then SLR, unless the SLR has really slippery aerodynamics, and less downforce.

That statistic surprised me as well. The CGT and the SLR are even to 124 mph (approx a 1/4 mile), but somewhere thereafter, the SLR rips past the CGT. At those speeds, 4 seconds is a HUGE gap -- many many cars.

Yep. At 180mph, that's a mile every 20 seconds, so a 4 second gap is 1/5 of a mile, or a little over 300 yds.

i'll wave bye bye as the pathetic SLR track times have thus far proven. it's a schitty GT car and it's a schitty track car.

Porsche 53.86
Enzo 54.98
Lambo (Merci) 55.82
SLR 57.45
4 sec/lap means the CGT will lap the barge in less than 14 laps (if the tires make it that long carrying all that lard).
like i said, it's not supercar material on the track and most who have reviewed the car say it's fairly uncomfortable as a street car. it's billed as a $1/2 mil "supercar", so why is everyone trying to make excuses for it?
btw, "all the times i have" is apparently the SINGLE top gear test of the cars on entirely different days because that is the ONLY test in which the Enzo beat the CGT on any track - much less by almost a full second.

Around 700 lbs difference between the SLR and GT makes the big difference on the track!
