Sorry to hear about the close call. You should look into a paging alarm system; Clifford, Viper, and Compustar are widely considered to be the best brands. Installation is the determining factor in theft prevention and alarm effectiveness, so you'll want to find a reputable installer (ie not Car Toys).

Thanks for the kinds words everyone, cops weren't much help, they want me to come and fill out a report then, if they get around to it, they might call the mall to see if there is a video tape, sad thing is, cops are to busy to care about stuff like this.

I'm going to get two sets of wheel locks, find a better hiding place for the wheel locks and try to find a good alarm shop that can install a killer alarm system (I do have a beater but it was such a nice day, I decided to take the Porsche).
That poor Porsche on blocks

My C4S is my daily driver, I'm not compromising bc of some *******s. I wonder how they got into your trunk without setting off the alarm. There is a way to open it from the outside, DAMN!
I agree wheel locks and alarms won't stop anybody if they really want it.
Glad you're ok.

My ex father-in-law worked security at that mall.. You would not believe the stories of what happens there.

Not like it was when I lived there in the 80's...

Rave, serves you right for going to Roosevelt Field mall, especially if you live in Manhattan. Haven't been there in 10 years. And back in the good old days, you would've had more than problems with your rims if you stayed on Delancey for too long! Smileys all around for my first line!
Glad everything's ok again

They were too busy catching a dangerous man that did not pass emissions control (his car, not the guy ...) ***cough*** tim ***cough***

I can't believe they were most likely in the van just feet away ... uuuugh. Let's hope next time they're less fearful and get greeted by Mr Smith and Mr Wesson.

Don't buy Porsche Wheel Locks. *******s, crooks and all their mothers have the matching keys which your local Porsche dealer happily sells to them. There are only 12 different Porsche Wheel Locks. I have an extra set of another unnamed brand which offers more security on my rims.

However, if they did get into your trunk all that will never help.
