Dario...yes even chipped or stock turbos can run race fuel - only down side is more $$... upside is the car runs cooler with the race fuel. Higher octane is better for your motor. More frequent plug changes, but not really from 93 to 100 or 103.

The highest octane i have tried is 103 unleaded and the car runs like it has an extra 100HP. Be careful with 116 octane because it contains chemicals that can damage your engine if you don,t use it right away.

You guys have it so lucky with fuel prices. It just cost me the equivalent of $95 to fill my wifes BMW 545i with regular gas yesterday..............the lowest grade unleaded fuel in England is $7 per gallon from the pumps.

Hi GUY,

A little off topic but could you give me a historical break down of how much your gas has been over the last five years ...

Oh ya, about 3 bucks a gallon right now.

Where is it 3 bucks a gallon??

I was quoted $344 for a 55 gallon drum

Shank,

Does your Viper have kats? If so don't use leaded fuels.

Second, friends don't let friends store 55 gallons of regular fuel in their garages, let alone 103 or 116 octane fuels. This is down right dangereous. I would look real close into your homes insurance policy language.

for the EVO GT 700 multi program, if you run the 100 octane program, do you need leaded or unleaded? what are the pros or cons? some stations have 100+ octane but it is leaded.

CHad - viper has NO CATS.

Also, what do you suggest. I was thinking of storing it in a fire proof cabinet inside my garage. What if I built a shed in my back yard with cement floor, and kept the fuels in there? I have an awesome 116 octane program I'd want to use often.

Thanks
SHank

Shank,

Personally,

I would not put it in my garage if the garage was attached to my living quarters. If a 55 gallon drum caught fire, chances are you wouldn't make it out of he house to talk about it. The vapor point on 116 is very low, it doesn't take much to ignite.

Outside would be fine. Just make sure the container doesn't get condensate inside. A water filter would be a must.
