I hate being a naysayer, but from one Adam to another....
you will get zero warning between "planted" and "next of kin". Unless that slab has steel rebar in it, I would simply not rely on unknown concrete.
At the very least I'd always have something much less compressible than a human body under there when you are under it.
Be safe

Adam.I would like to know about the locking system. When you lift a car can you lock it at any position (height) . Can you explain the type of locks they are using and if there is a lock on both tower. Thanks, J.P.

LOL .. But for real after the lift is up at desired height you should put jack poles under the front and rear of the car. You can modify the standard height ones if the maker of the lift does not have them for sale. Safety first. The car can be balance and say you do a brake job on the fronts, wheels, rotors, and calipers off on both sides? Or coilover install? That can add up to 200lbs missing on an already light front end. Adam, you are not kidding about just fitting. Now that you have a lift what will be your first excuse/mod to use it?

Nice!!!!!!

Sorry if I am answering before the OP but in my case I simply love it! The underside of the car is completely free to work on it. I had to remove the engine last spring and this tool was simply perfect! At the beginning I had problem with the quick release fittings but Danmar was aware of this problem and they replace it immediately. Very good after sale service. I got a very small garage and very limited in space. So the proper positioning of the posts was critical because of course you would like to work on different type of cars...

I have found this thread very useful and martyp is a good source of information and a very nice guy!: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...ved-today.html

I would hope it has locks that work in increments typical of most lifts. You never want to trust the hydraulics on any lift, even on my 11k pound lift. When I get to the desired height I lower the car back down to where it is resting on the locks, and not he hydraulics.

I always leave a bit of hydraulic pressure when I rest the car on the pins.
Talking about safety, the proper installation of the posts is something you have to be careful with. You need a good cement floor about 4 inches thick with 4500 psi strength of concrete. Of course I over done it with two pits, where the post will be installed, over 16 inches deep and reinforce with metal bars and the cement used was 5000 psi in strength.
It took me over a month before I was comfortable to work under the car!
