Once you're running anything over 0.8 bar boost, upgraded DVs and F-hose are almost a mandatory supporting mod.

Its a relatively cheap mod that will give you great piece of mind. Get it done!

The install can be a PITA as it's pretty tight in there, but you'll figure it out as most of us have.
I guess I have no idea if my power is consistent, as I have no frame of reference or comparison and otherwise can't decipher an issue.

What do you mean I'll get "great piece of mind" from diverter valves?

HI,I ran for a long time 1.1 bars on my original 1st mod,GIAC tune, with no DV problems...But later I did change the DVs which is a piece of mind because they do fail ...But now I have had 1.3 to 1.4 spikes with my K24/18 set-up and I still have a factory F hose,as do some that I know at this level, with no problems.....But I guess that has alot to do with the install of the DVs and making sure the clamps are on right and tight.....

If everything goes well with the PPI, I'll be picking up my 996TT X50 this week :-)

Thanks for the input everyone.

That being said, if you're buying a turbo 996, it's hard to lose no matter what you end up with.
I just moved to Ft Lauderdale from Denver and I have to tell you that the running out of lungs thing seems to only be noticeable in the higher altitudes. The lungs are very healthy all over here and pretty much anywhere up to 2k feet.

BTW if you haven't found an independant shop there, talk to Randy and Todd at Autobahn Premier service. They are great mechs and awesome guys to deal with.
