Good point.

But that different wheel allow them to perform better than a stock factory K24, which is the turbo we are talking about in this discussion.

i have a k24 REAR WHEEL DRIVE 996 turbo with UMW tune, fabspeed exhaust and a 5bar fpr.

i made 500 to the rear wheels on 93 octane on a july day with no cooling.
literally drove into the dyno shop. they put the car on the dyno, strapped it , did 3 runs, all while i was in their bathroom taking a dump.

not bad.

A mustang will be 8-12% lower than a Dynojet so add a good 40-50 whp for pump gas for 18g conversion to Dynojet whp and 3071 will be over 600 whp on most dynojets compared to the K24's.

A 996 TT is not trapping 125 mph with 550 and less crank hp at full weight with driver (something like 3600-3700 lbs). But several here have done that.

My dyno sheet is old, but it's done those numbers, I have to get some new ones for NASA TT soon, so I'll post them up when I get them. But it will be ~520 whp on a dynojet.

And just to be clear I am only talking about RWHP, not AWHP since the Mustang can dyno AWD most times if it is equipped. Add another 20+ whp if you are talking about AWHP on a mustang.

Well dynojets are a non laod bearing dyno and are good for consistently measuring power. Some numberf rom Dynojet I used - which are standard from what I've seen on other dynojets.

Stock C6 Z06 - 420rwhp
Stock E92 M3 - 330rwhp
Stock 996tt - 350whp
My modded E55 that went low 11s - 520whp
My K24 996tt - 516rwhp

Mustangs are best used for tuning since they are load bearing. Mustangs are not very good to compare with others since they can be calibrated in so many ways, that there is now way they will read as consistent as simple basic Dynojets. For example, weight of the car and correction factors etc, there are some shops that I know that have been coought doing Mustang tricks. There is absolutely no point to compare Mustang numbers to Dynojet numbers.

Luis if you are talking about the guy who claims to be making 844whp on stock K24s please pass the message along that I will pay to have his car sent to the dyno of his choice as well as pay for the dyno pulls and fuel if he really says he can make 844whp on a non modified K24.

Ben.

ok, lets look at it from upgrade standpoint. If you do turbo intake pipes, fueling, inj, etc, race fuel and race file, with obvious exhaust, etc, how much can be obtained? has anyone done all that. With stock injectors, no way, but what about everything that is done to a 24/18g kit but with 24's instead?

I did 2.5" turbo inlet pipes on a K24 car, went back to the dyno and made the same numbers as I did before. They are basically not needed at that power level.

I would agree, but if you pump the fueling with 60 or even 70 lb injectors what happens. Bigger IC's etc.?
