mikelane is infamous around these parts
Thx for reply. It is more to just get educated on the differences between model years and pricing to make a buying decision.

The 'stiffness' thing really seems to be marginally substantiated. To put a percentage on it is a stretch.... like so many Porsche Marketing comments, they seem to take on a life of their own years later. (People swear the X50 has steel synchros for example)

A flash is 1-2k. An exhaust is 2k-5k. Wastegate kit, 300.... diverters (I forget, maybe 300)

But drive it for a while.... take your time with research. Many have started this path, there is no 'single answer'.

I would do suspension, flash, and exhaust with whatever car I get, but would prefer a low miler to start off with. There is a 7k difference. Is this too little? I am thinking the 03 x50 is the better buy. What do you guys think the value of a non mod 03 x50 is today? The 03 x50 has dark grey interior. This seems different than the supple leather seats. What this a more expensive option? I like the sport seats for looks, but for me they feel a little on the tight side in the lats area, even though I am only 6' 180lbs. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get

Get the 03 but don't sell you're 993. The damn things just keep going up in value.
