Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel? Stick with OEM. As an aside, the GT2 RS uses factory OEM plus and it pulls 1.5 bar.......

The lower the number the hotter plug from NGK.

http://www.ngk.com/charglossary.asp?kw=Heat+range

if plug ends in -11 thats half the heat range between the 2 numbers.

if they burn to hot plug will be white no discoloring .you want to see slight brown/black color on the plug tip.
to dark and its not hot enough..

but if your not doing any modes do OEM..not worth screwing up it.

Sorry to tell, but you must have been misinformed,,,,That 11 means the gap size ,which means it has a larger gap then no 11 following it....Just trying to help with info

Reading the plugs is good but it will only tell you how the motor was running when you shut it off.

I run the regular copper NGK BKR7E gapped at .025 - Per recomendation of Tony@EPL. 7 is a one step colder plug then OEM. They are cheap and work well. P/N # 4644 and 2.50$ at Advance Auto Parts.

This plugs stuff is pretty funny...every time there are as many theories as numbers of posts...

I was suggested to use FR6LDC or NGK BKR7E BTW, I've just asked about gapping, waiting for answer.

Powell,

How long do these usually last in your car?

I am on stock plugs, but raced a few of my friends a couple of days ago... (01 Viper, CLK55 w/Kleeman SC & 20G DSM) and I think my plugs are done; i'm getting spark blowout under wot..and wanted to know what the high hp cars are running spark plug wise?

I'd like to know too. I had a boosted s2000 and spark plugs wouldn't last longer than a couple weeks until I went to the irridium NGK 8iex. Lasted over a year till I sold the car.

with a 1 bar map, stock turbos and wastegates (k16 or k24) use stock plugs FR6 LDC or the new OEM FR6 DPP 332 , NGK 6 or Denso IK20

if you have a map higher than 1bar and hybridturbos,1 bar wastegates or pushing your engine hard, go one step colder...Bosch FR 5 or NGK7, Denso IK22 (is more for tracking and long distance runs)

if you have a special tuning ask your tuner he knows exactly what his engine need

I ran these plugs for about 5-6k miles on my previous setup. Ran 93oct, MS109 and C16. Car was making high 800s on race gas. I'm currently using these same type plugs in the new setup as well.
