Has anyone added a lumbar support pad?

I'm too young to be asking this question, but it is what it is. The stock seats have zero lumbar support, and on long drives my lower back starts killing me. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've used the CG-Lock to hold my butt down, and that helps a touch, but I'm thinking about getting some kind of pad to just drop in when needed for a 100 mile drive, which I can store in the mammoth trunk space 99% of the time. How does Porsche sell a car with a $150K sticker, and no lumbar support? (Adjustable OR Static) I think the original owner ticked every single option box except sport seats. I digress. Thanks for any help.

Search for a thread on this subject. I recall reading about some people who added foam pads inside the seat. I know the inner part of the backrest comes out easily, it might be on a hinge.

I just found this link on a Pontiac Solstice forum, Google sent me there as I'm not a regular , and the illustration is a light gray 996 seat. (It might as well be my car, but I've got the Supple Leather) I didn't realize that the center pad came out so easily. Time to do some research.

Try my redneck solution. 1 roll of paper towels still in the plastic works great. Don't get brawny, that roll is too big.

JimmieK's solution is a good one. I bought some heavy foam pipe insulation you use to prevent freezing and opened it up along the seam and just kept adding layers until I was satisfied. A couple bucks max.

That would go over well at a track day.
