advice on new installed clutch and gt2 slave

advice on new installed clutch and gt2 slave

hi i just did my clutch and also did the gt2 slave upgrade. i smell the clutch burning smell. i drove the car home from the shop is that normal?the clutch pedal is pretty stiff but has a little play at top is that normal? any help would be great thanks tony

I installed the GT2 slave with my stock clutch. No burning smell.

Did you do the work yourself? It is really hard to do that job without getting pentosin everywhere. Depending on how well the pentosin was cleaned up, you might be smelling that??

clutch

yes i did work myself it was my first time doing a clutch job. Runs fine just some time when i take off i can smell the clutch burning.

it need to be broken in, drive gently for the first 500 to 1000 miles

mine smelled for a bit at first too.

i went with sach disc ending in 973 and pp 764
