Ladies don't like Porsche's

Would you say ladies go out of the way to ignore you when you stop beside them. My friends always assume my turbo is a pick up car. When I was single I did not find this to be the case. Maybe its because these cars are so common in South Florida or I am more ugly than I thought. Probably the latter.

To quote someone else on this board (I forget who said it):

Ferraris are art...Porsches are function

Or something like that.

Another interesting topic by ritchie...yawn! If you need a car too pick up women that is very sad. I am driving my VW until the M3 shows up Sat and I get just as many women as when I had my 996.

I'll tell you what... I drove around Southbeach area this past weekend in Shank's QX56 with 24"..... that thing snapped more neck than you'd believe... that's probably more S FL style than Porsches...

Marc VW

Marc, for someone who does not like my any of my posts you seem to answer all of them. You said you live in Sunny Isles, ask some of your dates (or their better looking friends) if they know me (I lived there from 1990 to 2000), and please by all means, ask them anything you want to know about me. You will find out that I can get along driving a shopping cart.

Was not insinuating anything about your looks, you made that comment yourself in your thread opening. I was just chiming in. I do find your posts amusing but usually not P-Car related except for your steering pump leak. Most new users usually get bored after a few months of surfing and arguing stats and mods. However if you recall in your first few weeks you drew out quite a few flames yourself.

My 996 gets nods from chics and dudes alike. dudes usually will approach w compliment while chics are sometimes shy about it.

If you really want attention, just remove all your license plates. ppl will think you just got your car and drool! LOL

Well thanks, I try to chime in on different stuff and leave the techno stuff to the motor heads. Let me tell you, the guys on this board have help me alot with questions about my car, I just search a topic and bam, it's always there. I can blame them for about 8 grand in mods though.

Rich I read your tag lines, If you dont know I had 2 996's and probably have more miles driving a Porsche then most people, I put over 75,000 miles between the 2 of them. Why on earth would I want a 993 air-cooled Porsche as a daily driver in Florida, My Jetta is a company car and costs me zero to drive. The M3 Comp is a hell of a car and every bit on par with the 996, me I would never own a Turbo it is an overweight AWD car...

To quote the great Sharkster:

"My wife let me have a 996 Turbo because it attracts more men than women."

I think its better if you meet someone in the club or bar....whatever, then when you offer to drive or pick them up sometime, thats when they get impressed. They come out like....."DANG!!""THATS YOURS!!"

josh.
