044 Pump Added,,Noise Normal??

I never understood this either. We all benefit from those who come before us. So why not to pay it forward? It's not rocket science.

Hey Guys,,Since Kelly Moss did the work to quiet it down,I did not know what they did at first,,Plus they wanted to sell their kit for this, as most other vendors would not want us to know their fixes and tell others.....But I did find out recently the fix,,,All they did is take the check valve ball out of the 044...So guys,if Kelly Moss snubs me now,,I dont care because I did it for the forum......lol.....

we run ours with the check valve out for years... that doesn't remove the noise... I know I have it on my car... You have to isolate it from the frame... pure and simple...

Are you guys mounting it straight to the frame and thus transmitting vibrations ( noise ) into the cabin? It seems that if it was mounted via lord mounts, for example, than that would take care of it.

Sorry to disagree with you Mark BUT not in this case...Midwest EuroSport tryed that first,,Moving the lines away from the body and tunnel sheet metal>Did not take that noise away.....Kelly Moss took the check valve ball out and the noise problem I had was gone AND the surging pulsations in the fuel line were gone also...Pure and Simple...The pump was mounted on rubber isolators and wrapped from the beginning as you told them when you helped them with the wiring set-up....I know you are the man in this field but in my years their are always new learning experiences...lol...

It works... The client cant even tell its there.. we do not use the check valves...
hoever, my own car has 2 pumps mounted to the body and it vibrates... and they are without check valves...

Are there any detailed pics of this install? I am curious as to how it is hooked up to the fuel system.
on a side note i have a 044 in my audi s4, its loud. but then again i hear it more as my interior is stripped out.
