New Pics...got tint and headlight & tail lights done
Toward the end of last week I got the tint done (did not go super dark just to remain compliant and not draw too much negative attention) ...
I had a high quality ceramic tint put on for best performance in cooling and protection from harmful rays, including a sun strip ...while I was there we all of a sudden talked about some ideas to maybe make the car a bit more unique stylistically and did the headlight treatments (and the smoked corner markers) with blue laminex film over my already done clear ppf on the head lights (double the protection on those now haha lol ) and the tailights were treated with a smoked protective ceramic film specifically designed for tail light treatments. It was one of those spur of the moment things figued why not give it a try, it's unique and fully reversable if I don't like it.
Anyways Tonk/Chris and I headed on over to Cars & Coffee in Fair Lakes on Sunday morning and Chris snapped off a few pics...his work impeccable as always.
Please let me know what you think, good or bad...I've gotten positve opinions and one or two friends that say nah...and a few that say it's growing on them...It was something new I tried to give the car a little bit of a unique look, it's kinda a different and sort of a technic touch on a grey car that is otherwise stealthy and aggressive looking...I went with the blue instead of yellow up front to draw less attention, yellow would stand out more being much more bold and bright but is illegal and would draw more cops I figured, with the blue it's clean, subtle, and when the lights are on at night the blue film dissapears nicely and blends with the HID lamps looking very factory with a slight hint of color over the fog light and chrome areas...

Thanks for the feeback guys...keep 'em coming I love the honesty on this forum.
Steve, thanks man...yeah I have no idea on how to do vids...maybe get one at some point who knows, maybe a buddy can help me with this...I really love the way the car shifts and drives, but you have to rev match with this box on downshifts...
Also I forgot to mention, the entire front hood/trunk cover is done in matte finish ppf...it's a very subtle touch...the intercooler ducts are also done in matte ppf ... I was thinking about doing the mirrors the same, and maybe the roof and wing in matte, to tie it together with a subtle 'matte' accents package...

love the car...really dont like the headlight tint though, it almost clashes with the paint color, it really doesnt match anything or suit the car, it is different but not in a good way imo,
sorry to be so blunt

that's what I love about this forum, great honest feeback...I kinda like it but it's one of those things that I thought would look great off the bat but seemed to grow on me the more I looked at it, I was thinking of doing yellow headlight treatments but it's way to noticible and screaming "pull me over!" on this car...
the tints made a HUGE difference in inside temps, with a black leather interior especially, compared to the red leather interior in my prior turbo X50 ... I also love the way the ceramic film doesn't mess with any of the comms (radar, EZpass, or navi etc..) and gives it much better UV protection...definately with paying the premium over the convential solar tints on the market.

Good looking car. The colormatched wheels look awesome. The Blue headlights..ehhh I can understand why many don't like them but I don't mind them.
I think the car looks fantastic - I'd love to see it in person!
