Garage Floor - Dallas Area

Looking for a company to install garage floor coating. Does anyone have a recommended partner for this? Thanks!

What type of coating are you looking for? Epoxy, polyaspartic, polyurethane, etc?

Mine is epoxy and it stains with acidic spills. The previous owners did some sort of home crafts that involved painting something and when they cleaned up the floor they used a mild muriatic acid. It left brownish spots. I thought it was residue. Its not.

But the floor holds up fine with garage/home mechanic usage. No worries there.

But if you do other stuff that gets the floor messed up enough to use acids, you might want to investigate more. I've not looked into it deeper because its not bad enough to make me want to strip it off. Oh yeah, the staining is in the clear coat, not the color. My floor is base gray with silver and black flecks sprinkled on it and then clear coated. The stains are in the clear. I know because I was curious enough to get down with a jewelers loop on the floor and a dental pic and dissect the problem.

Use this and DIY. It'll take a weekend to do. Clean out the garage and prep the floor Friday evening. Prep is the most important part of any job including this so make sure the floor is CLEAN. Saturday apply the color coat then Sunday apply the clear coat and sprinkles. It will look professionally done at a fraction of the cost.

I've used this on all my garages and it always looks like a showroom floor.

theres a whole thread on garages and flooring, the epoxy stuff is a good cheap solution but people have had mixed results, if prep isnt done right it will peel off pretty quick

tile is the best and most durable option imo
