My father and I have one and I can say it is truly an exceptional car. Some of the comments above are based in truth (re: track driving), though I would say blown out of proportion.
Yes, the car does exhibit oversteer at the limit, though I find it both predictable and easily corrected (given fast reflexes and awareness of what is happening and enough foresight to dial in opposite lock). However, if you miss the signs, the car does rotate/swap ends very quickly.
I drive the car every chance I get and nothing puts a smile on my face the way the ATOM does. The way the intake "barks" behind your ear on down-shifts, the sheer visceral acceleration, and the handling leaves little to be desired.
