Yes this is for my Tiptonic teardown. I've been able to track down most of the bearings besides the ones I came across now. TIMKEN NP493529 so since there is no parts breakdown or diagrams for our tips available I'm wondering if the dealerships have the capability to backwards cross reference this to an actual part number?

I think I'm onto something

Looks like the bearings are used as part of the assembly since the races are not really races but a bearing sleeve which is also the race.

Looking thorough endless pages of manuals and probably about 1000 google searches I came across this:

943 302 084 04

Apparently used on 993 and 964 turbo Tiptronics.

Bummer is that the whole assembly is $650....

I guess I'll have to check if any of my local dealerships have one is stock so I could compare, since the part itself doesn't appear to have a part#.

Sounds like your on a real mission. Does that part # include the pinion for 650$? And if so would you run the old ring gear with the new pinion?

No it's just the bearing sleeve with the bearings. You need to press out the old pinion and press the new stuff back on.

Check out my other tiptronic thread for more details.
